Open-Meteo
Weather, river discharge, marine, air quality and elevation data in eleven products comes through Open-Meteo, which publishes its data under CC BY 4.0.
Open-Meteo's free API is for non-commercial use. Commercial use of the API needs a subscription or a self-hosted copy. Trinetra uses the free API for a free public service. If your use is commercial, read Open-Meteo's terms and pricing first.
Several Open-Meteo products carry model data with its own credit: GloFAS and the Copernicus Emergency Management Service for river discharge, CAMS for air quality, ERA5 for historical weather, and Copernicus DEM for elevation.

Esri basemap
The console's maps draw Esri World Dark Gray Canvas tiles from ArcGIS Online (Light Gray in the optional Day appearance), with Esri's credit on every map. The tiles are not part of any export and the data API does not serve them.
If you draw maps with Esri tiles, follow Esri's terms of use and attribution rules. Basemap boundaries are not authoritative and are not official Indian boundaries.

JRC Global Surface Water and Copernicus
JRC Global Surface Water (Nadi) is free of charge without restriction of use. Cite Pekel et al. (2016) and put "Source: EC JRC/Google" on maps.
Copernicus data (Sentinel-2 in Nadi and Sarovara; GloFAS, CAMS, ERA5 and Copernicus DEM through Open-Meteo) is free, full and open, including commercial use, under the Copernicus data policy. Credit the service and say that the data was modified.
Contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data 2025-2026
OpenStreetMap
Road networks, river lines, boundaries as drawn in OpenStreetMap, place names and harbour points in several products come from OpenStreetMap under the Open Database Licence.
Maps and figures made from it need the credit only. A database derived from it and made public must also be offered under ODbL. See openstreetmap.org/copyright.

Official releases and records
Press releases (PIB, BSF, CBI, DRI, NCB, Customs), official alerts (NDMA SACHET), surveillance reports (NCDC IDSP), parliamentary answers (MEA) and treaty texts are published for public information. No separate licence is stated for most of them.
Trinetra keeps facts, figures and links, cites the issuing body, and links the original. Do the same: cite the body and link the source document. SACHET's CAP feeds are marked public domain.
News reports
Where official figures are missing, some products (Shyena, Darpan's news layer, the console) cite news reports. Trinetra keeps only facts, figures, headlines and links, never article text, and each report stays its publisher's copyright.
GDELT, used to find reports, is free for any use with credit to the GDELT Project.
Public domain and open government data
USGS earthquake data and ShakeMaps (Kampana, Sarovara) are US Government works. Natural Earth and OurAirports are in the public domain. Wikidata is CC0. NASA FIRMS and NASA POWER have no restriction on use. Credit them anyway: it costs nothing and helps readers check the data.
Terms with conditions
WHO Disease Outbreak News (Arogya) may be reused with credit for non-commercial purposes; other uses need WHO's permission. IODA outage data (Sandesha) and GDACS alerts are credited to their providers; check their terms before commercial reuse.
